Have you ever considered the power of persuasion and how so many people can get others to do something, make a deal, forbes buy something or support a cause? It is truly amazing to watch how fast such people can climb in their professional careers and endeavors. In fact, it is so interesting that the other day, I read a very interesting book that I would like to take this opportunity to recommend to you:
“The Power of Persuasion – A Guide to Moving Ahead in Life and Business” by G. Ray Funkhouser PHD 1986.
The book goes into initial detail in explaining exactly what power is, dani-info why people want it, why they are often afraid of it, and why it is so often needed. Then he discusses the four types of power; Performance Power, Structure Power, Agreement Power and the Power of Persuasion. He describes powerful people, victimhood, controlling power and goes into depth of how the power of persuasion works. Next, he describes how to use the power of persuasion in selling, business, management and in market place warfare. He gets into the nitty gritty of how organizations gain and use power and then asks the reader to analyze himself, and ponder the questions: meilleurscasinomeilleurscasino
- Do you really want power?
- Can you handle the double edged sword?
- What will you use this power for?
- Will power change you?
Also co-authored “The Ropes to Skip and the Ropes to Know” which is not a bad book either, so I would recommend that you buy them as a set. I believe if you read these two books that you will be well on your way to harnessing the power of persuasion; just promise me one thing, that you will use it in a positive way. Sincerely, Lance.
